Hinsdale Talks Posting Policy

Hinsdale Talks is a community information service that allows users to access and contribute information about community issues, merchants, and services. Users are encouraged to participate in the sharing of information and opinions on the Hinsdale Talks Website. However, all postings of content by Users shall be subject to this Posting Policy.

Be courteous and use respectful language. Like any community, the Hinsdale Talks Service will flourish only when our Users feel welcome and safe. Snide, spiteful, or mocking comments about other members of the Hinsdale community are not acceptable.

Debate, but don't attack. In a community full of opinions and preferences, people always disagree. Hinsdale Talks encourages active discussions and welcomes heated debate. But personal, ad hominem attacks are a direct violation of the Terms of Use Agreement and are grounds for immediate and permanent suspension of access to all or part of the Service.

Furthermore, you agree not to upload to, or distribute or otherwise publish on, the Hinsdale Talks Service any libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, or otherwise illegal material. This specifically includes any posting that abuses or discriminates on the basis of race, religion, nationality, sex, age, disability, etc.

You agree that you will not threaten or verbally abuse other Users, use defamatory language, or deliberately disrupt discussions with repetitive messages, meaningless messages, or "spam."

You are solely responsible for the content of your messages. However, while Hinsdale Talks does not and cannot review every message posted by you and is not responsible for the content of these messages, Hinsdale Talks reserves the right to delete, move, or edit any messages that it, in its sole discretion, deems to be in violation of this Posting Policy, the Terms of Service, any copyright or trademark laws, or to be otherwise unacceptable. Hinsdale Talks may specifically publish messages or comments with offending sections removed.

You acknowledge that any submissions you make to the Service may be edited, removed, modified, published, transmitted, and displayed by Hinsdale Talks and you waive any moral rights you may have in having the material altered or changed in a manner not agreeable to you.

By making a submission to the Service, you are consenting to its display on the site and for related online and offline promotional uses.

Hinsdale Talks reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject, refuse to post or remove any posting by you, or to restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to all or any part of the Hinsdale Talks Service at any time, for any or no reason, with or without prior notice, and without liability.
